Alright so let’s talk about 8 Reasons why you should buy a GoPro

Okay so a couple of months ago I bought a GoPro Hero 7 and today I thought let’s talk about some reasons why I think that a small action camera like a GoPro is actually worth it. So let’s get started!
1 Build Quality
And number one is the build quality of this product. Especially if you want to use a camera for outdoor activities you need to think about protection but the GoPro is a tough camera. You can use it in all kind of situations and in most cases you don’t have to worry about this camera because the build quality of it is extremely good. These cameras are protected against all kind of stuff – water, rain, dust, dirt – so if you are looking for an action camera that won’t break really fast these here are the way to go!
2 Versatile
Another great aspect we need to talk about is that these cameras are versatile. There are a lot of options that you can use. Multiple video shooting modes and if you like to take photos you can use the GoPro too. I need to say that I mostly don’t use my GoPro to take pictures but especially if you can’t use a DSLR or mirrorless camera this is a great solution to always get the shot. And especially the newer versions that are out now have a RAW shooting mode for photography which is even better for the post production because you have way more information saved into the file. Of course you are limited in some cases but especially if you can’t use a DSLR or anything like that a GoPro is one of the best options to get the shot.
3 Size / Discrete
The third reason why I think that such an action camera is worth it is the size. These cameras are really small. They just fit in your pocket and you can always grab it whenever you need to record a video or take a quick photo. Sometimes I simply have it in my pocket or bag just to be sure that I can always grab it if I need it. On top they are discrete because you don’t have to use any huge lenses or all kind of stuff like that. Especially if you don’t want that people actually notice that you use a camera these here are perfect. But the most important aspect is that YOU won’t notice these cameras if you do some outdoor activities. You can still do everything without having any problems. I mostly use it to record my POV Photography Sessions because I can’t carry a second camera to record everything and thats why this small camera here is a perfect solution to get the footage that I need.
4 Easy To Use
But now let’s move on with number 4 and this can actually be a really important if you are just starting out. The GoPro is actually an easy to use camera so yeah you don’t need to be a professional photographer or filmmaker to get decent content or to set up the GoPro in general. The menu is super simple and even the auto modes are great to record footage. Even if you don’t need any additional settings or modes you can simply use this camera in auto and still get some incredible footage.
5 Image Quality
And thats the perfect opportunity to talk about image quality. The overall image and video quality is absolutely amazing. They can shoot in all kind of 1080 up to 4k video formats and you can take high quality images. Especially if you buy one of the newer versions there are even more options out there like shooting RAW pictures or some improved video recording options but even a GoPro Hero 7 is good enough to create some awesome footage. 6 Storage is cheap
And number 6 is all about storage. Of course if you want to record videos in 4k or if you want to take high quality images you need storage. Especially if you are out there recording all kind of activities it’s not that easy to make a backup on a hard drive or to actually notice that your storage is full. And thats why I highly recommend to buy a 128GB card or more. It totally depends on your video settings. But the good aspect here is that storage is cheap. Currently you can get these cards for around $20 to $30. Maybe buy one or two so you won’t run into any problems here.
7 Accessories
Another great feature of GoPro cameras are accessories. There are tons of great accessories out there and even full sets for all kind of stuff. And yes they are actually really really cheap too. So yeah maybe think about to buy such a set. But if you like to record POV videos I highly recommend to get the official GoPro Chesty because this one is way better and it got this soft backside so its not that uncomfortable while running around. I tested a plastic one first and I definitely need to say that I didn’t liked them and thats why I have invested some more money to get the official one. This is super soft you don’t really notice it while running around and it’s actually really comfortable. So if you want to record POV videos. Get this one here.

8 Price
But now let’s move on with number 8 and here we need to talk about the price. The price is actually one of the most important factors especially if your budget isn’t that big. But gladly GoPros aren’t that expensive and no you don’t have to buy the newest version even older ones like the Hero 7 or 8 are great cameras that you can still buy to get some nice footage. Of course the newer versions have some improved features but especially if you budget isn’t that big just get one of the older ones and you are set! But if your budget is big enough just go with the newest version. Currently it’s the Hero 9 which seems to be a really nice camera.
So yeah these are 8 Reasons why I highly recommend to buy a action camera!
